Julia rocks. literally. i met her at arlene’s grocery, she is the booking manager there. she hired me to bartend sunday nights for a spell. she is friends with my cousin wyo, which is how i got the in to begin with. i was a touch intimidated by Julia at first. she is a singer/songwriter, clothing designer, and just a spicy hot toddie of a little devil. we made some photos together a few months ago and had a great time. her brother Jon is pretty cool, too. he is in The Grey Race. sometimes Julia and Jon perform duets on stage. what a talented fucking family. Julia Darling’s record release party is at Rockwood Music Hall this friday 1/28. i will be there. you shouldn’t miss hearing julia’s voice. really intense, like a rich color, or chocolate. here is an image from our photo session, she used it for her album cover.
